accordance with the requirements of

Iranian National Standard No. 2382. Raisin packaging containers must be new, sound, clean, unused, dry and odorless, and made of

materials that, while having sufficient strength, do not cause a decrease in product quality and do not harm the health of the consumer. The

net weight of the package for seeded and seedless raisins should not exceed 12.5 kg, and for green raisins, it should not exceed 14 kg

(carton – wooden box).

If cardboard or wooden boxes are used to package raisins, an inner nylon bag should also be used to prevent possible contamination.

so that the raisins do not come into contact with cardboard or wood. All packages in a single container must be uniform in terms of

packaging, size, weight, and contents. For weights less than one kilogram, packaging appropriate to the weight of the raisins should be

used. For packaging of seeded and seedless raisins for industrial use, the containers and materials used for packaging must be new, sound,

unused, clean, dry, and odorless. These types of raisins can be packaged in packages weighing up to 50 kilograms. Also, all packages in a

single container must be uniform in terms of packaging, size, weight, and contents.

Marking on packaging for the selling of raisins

On each package of seedless, seeded or green raisins, the following information must be written, printed or labeled legibly and indelibly with

non-toxic ink in Persian for domestic use and in English or the language of the buyer’s country for export:

Name and type of product

Full name and address of the manufacturer or packer and its trademark.

Net weight of the package contents (kg and/or grams)

Date of production or packaging (day, month and year)

Expiration date (day, month and year)

The phrase (Keep in a dry and cool place)

The phrase (Product of Iran)

Each type of raisins has its own uses and properties. Below we will mention the common uses of each type of raisins so that you can make a

better choice to buy this product according to your type of consumption.

1. For bodybuilding and energy

The most suitable type: currant raisins or golden raisins

Why? Because they are rich in natural sugar (fructose and glucose), iron, potassium and antioxidants.

How to consume: In the morning on an empty stomach or with breakfast, alone or with nuts.

4. For children

The most suitable type: green or golden raisins

Why? It has a sweet and mild taste, is easy to chew, and is a good alternative to unhealthy snacks.

Tip: It is better to choose the sulfur-free type, especially for young children.

5. For use in cooking (e.g. dishes, cakes and pastries)

Food (pilaf and stews): Pilaf raisins (dark in color) – because it has a mild taste and gives a good appearance to the food.

Pastries and cakes: Golden raisins – because of their beautiful color and pleasant taste.
